Converting From RAW to NTFS

After a long time of struggle with my corrupted external hard disk(WD MY Passport)I was able to bring back the hard disk back to life.....

SOLUTION 1 :

* Run your Command Prompt as Administrator.


* Type the following Command without the quotes


"chkdsk "


Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process.  Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)


* Enter Y and press enter.


* Enter the following without quotes


"chkdsk /f"


restart your Computer..:)

SOLUTION 2 :

* Run command Prompt as administrator.

*Enter the following without quotes 

"set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1"

"cd  %SystemRoot%\System32"

"devmgmt.msc"

Device Manager will be opened as the Image Below


 Click >>>View>>>Show hidden devices

Now uninstall all the drivers relating to Your harddisk.

Reboot your Computer and check if it works.

SOLUTION 3 :

*Download and Install testdisk .(Google for it)

 

*Open Test Disk >> (No log) >>Select your (Hard disk) >>Select your Partition Map(Intel)>>(Analyze)>>(Quick Test) takes a lot of time and then >>(Deeper Test) takes even a day be patient 

Now after the test are over it will show a statement to repair your FILE FORMAT  Enter  Y and press enter. 

Now Reconnect Your Harddisk It should POPUP.
